Ellis W. Williamson was a United States (U.S.) Army officer. He was born in Raeford, North Carolina, on June 12, 1918; entered military service as a private in the 120th Infantry Regiment Band, 30th Division, North Carolina National Guard in 1936; was commissioned a second lieutenant in March 1941; and served in five campaigns throughout WWII.
